July 25th,
Today in Camp Leo we have been working on an arts and crafts project that has come to our campers from thousands of miles away: South Africa to be exact. Desmond Tutu, the famous South African bishop, once called the members of his country Rainbow People because of the amazing love felt for all. Since then street vendors within South Africa have come up with a new way display this love, creating mobile figurines from wood or cardboard, called Rainbow People.
Camp Leo participated in this tradition by creating their own rainbow people, and made some amazing designs!
