Jaguars, as the second-oldest members of Camp Leo, get to participate in a variety of art activities that are a little more advanced then their younger peers. The most recent of these project is the current project: making a Totem pole.
While these massive cultural symbols (I will examine the history and culture of these objects in a later post) are normally created from wood Camp Leo Jaguars will be recycling a massive PVC pipe (roughly 7' tall and about a foot and a half in diameter). The process is a lengthy one and this week we went through design and the preliminary painting.
We all be keeping you updated however and here are the first few shots!
