Camp Leo has been buzzing about fireworks, hot dogs, and family parties all week and with the big day almost upon us we took the time to celebrate! Camp Leo's art class today involved an activity that most of us have been doing since before we can remember, catching fireflies.
To get in the patriotic spirit and take our firefly catching skills to another level campers decorated small mason jars with tempura paint. The paint, opaque normally, will glow a variety of colors with the fireflies light.
So sit back, watch some fireworks, and run around and see who can capture the most lightning bugs!
